In accordance with Section 101(y) of the Petroleum Act 2019 and Legal Notice No. 192 of 2022, the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) has announced the maximum retail prices of petroleum products that will be in force from 15th February 2026 to 14th March 2026.

Pump Prices Drop Across Key Products

During the period under review, the maximum allowed pump prices for petroleum products have recorded a decrease. The prices of:

Super Petrol have reduced by KShs. 4.24 per litre

Diesel has reduced by KShs. 3.93 per litre

Kerosene has reduced by KShs. 1.00 per litre

This adjustment brings relief to consumers, especially amid rising costs of living and transportation.

New Retail Prices in Nairobi

Effective midnight, the new maximum retail prices in Nairobi for the next 30 days are:

Super Petrol: KShs. 178.28 per litre

Diesel: KShs. 166.54 per litre

Kerosene: KShs. 152.78 per litre

Taxes Included in the New Prices

The announced prices are inclusive of the 16% Value Added Tax (VAT) in line with the provisions of the Finance Act 2023, the Tax Laws (Amendment) Act 2024, and the revised excise duty rates adjusted for inflation as provided under Legal Notice No. 194 of 2020.
